Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My son played in the playpen as I was working 12-hour shifts, sanding the floor and removing wallpaper. Ha! The house was getting closer to being done, yet it was still a long distance to go. For this project I was ready to invest a significant amount of money and time shopping for my dream home. In order to stay within the budget, I started by taking my sons to estate sales looking for of diamonds. Every week, we would go through garage and estate sales on Thursdays and Saturdays, purchasing a mix of old and new pieces. I then spent my weekdays painting and sanding outside in our driveway. What I saw looked something similar to... that's when my passion to restore furniture was born. Once our home was decorated, I couldn't stop! I rented a booth on the local market, and also sold items there. Then I bought more that I could decide how to use them and outgrew the area. I started having open houses at my house where over 1 000 people came through on the span of a weekend. They could purchase anything they wanted on the first floor. This is where my business Growing Days was born. My business was not only thriving but I was growing our sweet family as well. In a way, I had found the perfect equilibrium between motherhood and launching my business. Growing Days just fit. Nora was born in 2013 and became our fourth baby. My business was booming however I needed a break. I decided to put off building my old furniture and be at home with the children. It was exactly what I was looking for. It was only after several months when the phones began to ring. I was getting requests from people requesting for assistance with home improvements as well as interior design. The majority of them were people who came into my residence at my open house for furniture. I started taking on some clients at a time taking my time however it wasn't time before I was running multiple accounts and was running the complete business of home remodeling. If you had told me that my company would become the basis for a DIY Network show, I likely would have thought you were crazy. It's fun to reflect about it.
