The date of her birth is 29 March 1985 in Roswell, New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza was her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She is Mexican and American. Her passion for sports started as a young child. Gerina began to play golf at the age of 15 years old. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. In high school, she took home the New Mexico golf state tournament. She also played volleyball at the level of state. In the year 2003 she began her studies at the University of Texas. In her senior year she took home the top prize in every competition she entered. In her time at college she was awarded an award called the Conference USA Player of The Award and the Female UTEP Sports Athletics Award.
